Not to be outdone, in Spain, if you can stuff 12 grapes into your mouth at midnight, you’ll enjoy good luck in the new year.

In some South American countries wearing colored underwear determines your fate for the new year. Red underwear means you’ll find love, gold means wealth and white signifies peace.
